During the summer season, canoeing offers the break from the City I need to recalibrate. The light weight and portable size of the canoe allow for easy access into small backcountry lakes and rivers such as Lost and Pretty Channels. The quietness and solitude of these backcountry lakes and rivers are what I seek to recalibrate and to work on my art and my personal growth.
Sunset Over Six Mile Lake was painted during a solo canoe trip in 2011 on 11 x 14 sheet of 140lb (300g/m2) Watercolour Paper
